Now in collaboration with SAGA Egmont, his engaging narration of these famous classics is available to readers everywhere. Gaston Leroux was a French writer who lived in the period 1868-1927. He was a journalist and author of detective fiction, but he is known to have written some mysteries as well. His first novel was "The Mystery of the Yellow Room" from 1907, which was well accepted by the critics, but didn’t gain him wide popularity. His most famous work is "The Phantom of the Opera" which was published in 1910, which became very famous after it was made into a silent film in 1925.
