Problems in palaeolithic and mesolithic research

The purpose of this book is to discuss and state main problems and methodologies in Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeological research today. The volume contains 14 articles written by Palaeolithic and Mesolithic archaeological researchers and the cases discussed derive from Scandinavian and Arctic archaeological fields. Yet, the problems discussed are relevant to any student or educated archaeologist with Stone age interests. The book is organised into four chapters: (1) Archaeological theory and methodology, (2) Choices and restraints in field archaeology, (3) Dynamic perspectives on the material record, and (4) The rituals and their artefacts.
